Trailer for Elden Ring’s free Colosseum DLC
Bandai Namco has announced that their open-world fantasy game Elden Ring will get a multiplayer update with a new coliseum environment made for fighting between players. Any and all versions of the game will receive this update as soon as possible.
Elden Ring follows From Software’s tradition of releasing downloadable content for its games. Players will finally get some downloadable content, and it has already become the company’s most successful title ever. The free Colosseum Update for Elden Ring is coming on December 7th, according to the game’s official Twitter.
Caelid, Limgrave, and Leyndell each have a colosseum that wasn’t playable at launch but is now. Some modders got it working in April, but data miners only got a glimpse of what was inside.
Although PvP was obviously not possible, a number of combat sequences resembling gladiatorial battles were uncovered; these included battles between warriors and giant lions. The discovery of multiple sanctuaries in the area also suggests that FromSoftware plans to introduce Coliseum travel.
The Elden Ring Colosseum update, which will feature both PvP and EvE modes according to the trailer released by From Software, will be available in the near future.
Even though the trailer doesn’t explain the specifics of the new game modes, it does show one-on-one fights, what look like two-on-one fights, and even three-on-three fights. The word “free-for-all” appears in the trailer’s description, as well.
The player and two summoned companions are first seen in an open world, engaging in exploration and combat. It’s unclear, though, if this actually indicates anything new in this regard or if it’s just gameplay footage meant to pique interest in the rest.
