There are only a few hours left in 2022, and even in those few hours, there have been many significant leaks about many upcoming games. Furthermore, Redfall which is one of the most anticipated games of the year has come into the conversation because of a potential release date according to a popular Xbox insider Klobrille.
Redfall is a first-person shooter video game that will be published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by Arkane Studios Austin. The game will be launched in the first half of 2023 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S. However, the release date of the game has been a mystery by the developers but Klobrille took a dive in and may have hinted at a potential date for the release of the game.
Klobrille drops the hint, saying nothing concrete but offering an intriguing tease to Xbox players. Replying to another user’s comment on the ResetERA forum, which speculated a potential postponement of Redfall till next fall, Klobrille reacted with a pun in English: “I May disagree with that”, translatable as “I may not be able to ‘agree with this’. The response, however, has a special meaning in the original language, with Klobrille penning the word “May” in capital letters, implying a reference to the month of “May” as a period picked by Microsoft and Arkane for the Redfall launch. Unfortunately, this is the extent of the tease, which means we have no fresh information to provide.
This is kind of understandable, you just can’t go out and claim anything concrete at the top of your voice. However, you have to give it to Klobrille who dropped a potential hint and at the same time made himself safe. It will be interesting to see the official announcement of the game as there seems to be a lot of hype about the game among fans. But what does make the game so anticipated?
So let’s talk about the game, Redfall, which was announced at the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 showcase on June 13, 2021, has a vampire theme and co-op/multiplayer aspects, making it a whole new sort of game as well as a fresh new IP for Arkane Studios.
“Redfall is an open-world, co-op FPS from Arkane Austin, the award-winning company behind Prey and Dishonored,” according to the game’s official pitch. Redfall introduces Arkane’s distinctive gameplay to this story-driven action shooter, continuing the studio’s history of finely created environments and immersive simulators.
The official description of the game says, “The island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the citizens off from the outside world. Explore the open world and immerse yourself in a deep story campaign as you unravel the mystery behind the vampires’ appearance. Ally with a handful of survivors against the creatures threatening to bleed the town dry.”
When this will be the kind of experience the world will get.
