When we think about one of the most successful gaming companies, we immediately think of Ubisoft. The video game publishing giant has 45 development studios and employs more than 20,000 employees. Ubisoft has given the world some of the finest video game titles, like Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, Far Cry, Tom Clancy, and many more.

When it comes to the gaming community, everyone is eager to know what Ubisoft is working on and which games we can see in the upcoming years. Ubisoft’s 2023 has just recently begun to take shape, but the publisher has already revealed a few significant releases for the year. Below is a list of upcoming games by Ubisoft.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

There could not be a better way to start than talking about Assassin’s Creed franchise. And Assassin’s Creed mirage is the new and most anticipated title in the franchise. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set in 9th-century Baghdad and puts players as Basim, a robber who is drawn into the realm of Assassins. Unlike previous entries in the series, Mirage appears to be a return to Assassin’s Creed’s basic structure, which emphasizes parkour and offers a more linear plot compared to RPG-leaning titles like Odyssey and Valhalla. Ubisoft has yet to confirm a release date for Mirage, although the game is likely to be released in 2023.

Skull And Bones

Fans around the world have got mixed feelings for Skull and Bones. After multiple delays, the release is still in question. However, Skull & Bones had a release date of March 9, 2023, however, it has since been pushed back. Skull & Bones is an open-world game set in the Indian Ocean that enables both solo and multiplayer adventures.

Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora

Now we are entering a billion-dollar industry. We need no words to explain how big the Avatar franchise is. Not only this but after the release of Avatar Way of Water, the world is once again painted in blue color. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was announced in 2017 via an E3 2021 video, indicating that Ubisoft was aiming for a 2022 release.

Ultimately, that year passed without much further information being revealed about the open-world title based on James Cameron’s Avatar film franchise. Frontiers of Pandora has no set release date as of yet, however, it might arrive between April 2023 and March 2024.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland

Ubisoft is working on three free-to-play shooters, including Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland. It’s in the works at Ubisoft’s Red Storm Entertainment, which worked on the mainstream Division titles. The Division series will continue with Heartland. It is a free-to-play survival-action multiplayer shooter in which the player must navigate the treacherous Silver Creek. The multiplayer mode involves battling with and against other trained agents in order to defend a fictional little town in Middle America. The multiplayer shooter includes PvE and PvEvP activities, as well as six playable agents and three classes. While no specific date has been set, the complete release is expected in 2023.

Valiant Hearts: Coming Home

Coming Home, the sequel to Valiant Hearts: The Great War, was unveiled at the 2022 Game Awards. Valiant Hearts 2 appears to be building on its highly-rated predecessor, which still offers one of Ubisoft’s most successful tales. Valiant Hearts: Coming Home will be available on Android and iOS devices via Netflix’s mobile app, and Ubisoft has made no mention of console adaptations. The publisher has agreed to make three mobile games available through Netflix.

Trackmania

Trackmania, which was released on PC in 2020, is slated to make the transition to consoles in 2023, with Ubisoft hoping for an early release that year. Trackmania, while not lacking traditional races, largely encourages players to compete against their own timings. Racers will repeat tracks in order to get the optimal performance, which is easier said than done. Trackmania can keep someone occupied for a long time with a decent range of courses, both official and homemade, especially if they are interested in climbing the worldwide leaderboards.

The Settlers: New Allies

The Settlers: New Allies, a real-time strategy game that has been under production for several years, was originally scheduled to premiere on March 17, 2022; however, the game was delayed. The Settlers was a mainstay of the ’90s and 2000s, dating back to 1993, although a new edition in the series has not been produced in almost a decade. This modern revamp has been a long time coming, but it remains to be seen whether it can bring the license back to life in a significant sense.

Earlier this year, a closed beta was held, allowing a small number of gamers to receive hands-on experience with the Skirmish mode. The feedback was not very positive, with some criticizing the gameplay for being too superficial. Ubisoft eventually stated that the PC game will be released on February 17, 2023.

These are some of the big titles coming this year or in the upcoming years. However, Ubisoft is working on some other anticipated games and very soon we will get to know about them as well.
